ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Lauren! I graduated in 2007, from the Art Institute of Atlanta, with a BFA in Interior Design. Since then, I have undertaken many freelance interior design opportunities. These opportunities range from picking out a few "missing pieces," to designing a historical building from concept to completion. I am excited to see where the projects with Of Willow & Jade will take me!

FAVORITE DESIGN AESTHETIC:

My favorite design aesthetic is Modern Farmhouse. This style creates a space that is comfy, cozy, and full of charm. I enjoy bringing personality and character into spaces with unique accessories, or furniture pieces. And what’s not to love about a neutral color scheme with various textures, and patterns?! I find pleasure in the beauty that can be created with this warm, minimalistic style. That being said... my eye has definitely been drawn to Boho and Midcentury Modern lately!

FAVORITE PIECE IN MY HOME:

My favorite piece in my house is a coffee table made from the wooden drafting table I used in school. My grandfather made it, and used it when he worked as a land surveyor. Years later, my dad and I repurposed it. It has so much character!

WHY ONLINE DESIGN?

I love virtual design because of all of the possibilities that it opens. Great design can be accomplished at the convenience of both me and my clients. Clients can purchase a whole room, from floor to ceiling, without even leaving their house! Virtual design also brings people together, that otherwise would never meet, which I think is amazing.
